Meet Sidharth Mishra

Counselling Psychologist

I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist and PhD scholar, offering therapy in English and Hindi through online sessions.

My work is deeply rooted in the ideas of Donald Winnicott, with a focus on how early environments, relationships, and emotional experiences shape our sense of self. I am particularly interested in the parts of us that we learn to manage, hide, or perform in order to adapt and survive.

In therapy, I work with the many polarities of the self — including those that feel uncertain, unfinished, or contradictory. Rather than pushing for quick change, I emphasise exploration, emotional awareness, and a deeper understanding of one’s inner world.

I pay close attention to shifting mood states, emotional patterns, and what quietly emerges or returns over time. Depending on individual needs, I use a reflective balance of interpretation and integration, allowing the process to unfold at a pace that feels safe and meaningful.

Alongside talk therapy, I may gently incorporate Gestalt-informed art and movement practices, especially when words feel limiting. These approaches help create space for emotions to be experienced and held, rather than intellectualised.

I offer a queer-affirmative and neuro-affirmative therapeutic space that is steady, respectful, and deeply human. My approach is grounded in the belief that people are not “broken,” but often have not been given enough space to be themselves. Therapy, then, becomes a space that offers that holding — not to fix, but to support what is authentic to emerge, slowly and at your own pace.
